News/Talk 620 WVMT is proud to announce the talent line up for University of Vermont play by play sports. Alistair Ingram will announce University of Vermont Hockey. Rob Ryan will handle play by play for University of Vermont Women's Basketball.



Rob Ryan to call UVM Women's Basketball PBP on News Talk 620 WVMT.

A graduate of Rowan University in 1997, Ryan enters his 5th year covering the University Of Vermont Catamounts.

Ryan also works with Northeast Sports Network, serving as play by play broadcaster for a variety of college and high school events in Vermont and New York, including University Of Vermont telecasts on CatamounTV and WCAXtra.

Ryan was the radio voice of the Vermont men's basketball team and the Vermont Lake Monsters professional baseball team for 3 seasons, from 2008 to 2011.

Ryan majored in Radio/TV/Film at Rowan University, and broadcast a variety of sports, including football, soccer, field hockey, baseball, softball and was on the broadcast crew that covered the Profs 1996 NCAA Division III National Championship in men's basketball.  He was also a member of WGLS, which in 1996 won the National Association Of College Broadcasters Radio Station Of The Year, and was inducted into the Rowan Radio WGLS Hall Of Fame in 2012.
Prior to moving to Vermont, Ryan was the operations manager and program director for 6 radio stations in northern New Jersey for over 10 years, and was named the Clear Channel Radio Crystal Club Award Winner in 2008.

A native of New Milford, NJ Ryan currently lives in Colchester, VT.

Alastair Ingram is the play-by-play announcer who call all the Vermont Men's Hockey action for NewsTalk 620 WVMT. Ingram is a native of Bedford, Massachusetts and a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University. While a student at Syracuse he called football, men's basketball and men's lacrosse action for the Orange. Following graduation, Ingram served as the play-by-play announcer for Babson College men's basketball and men's hockey. He also called the action for the Boston Breakers of Women's Professional Soccer and the Lowell Spinners, the Class A affiliate for the Boston Red Sox. Ingram is currently co-hosting and a sports center anchor for the "Boston Sports Post Game Show" on 890 ESPN Radio in Boston, Mass.
